An Air India flight to Hong Kong made an unscheduled stop at Kolkata late last night after some passengers complained of smoke in the cabin.
The flight with 216 passengers on board landed at the Kolkata airport a little after 2 am. Sources say the pilot decided to stop after suspecting a technical snag.
Some of the passengers were accommodated in connecting flights while many were put up in a hotel, Air India officials say.
