Kolkata: The West Bengal government has decided to institute an annual scholarship scheme in the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), at University of London, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said today.
The scholarships would be called "Biswa Bangla" scholarships, she tweeted.
"We have decided to institute a scheme in School of Oriental & African Studies, University of London, called Biswa Bangla scholarships," she said.
Under the scheme, two students from Bengal at the masters level and one PhD scholar will be provided annual scholarships.
