Kolkata: Fire broke out in a commercial building in the central business district this morning, which was doused after two and half hours, a fire brigade official said.
The fire was detected at around 7.45 am on the eighth floor of the building at Park Street, the official said.
Ten fire tenders were pressed into service and the blaze was brought under control at around 10.30 am.
There was no report of any injury, the official said adding that it being a Sunday, offices housed in the building were closed.
