Kolkata:
Flight operations at the Kolkata airport got disrupted for several minutes on Monday afternoon following a blackout of the computer monitors at the Air Traffic Control (ATC), airport sources said.
Computer monitors at the ATC were shutdown for their replacement with newer ones at about 3.30pm, officials said.
Since the aircraft could not be noticed during the 15 minutes of blackout on the computer screens, the pilots of 12 flights were asked to keep flying, sources said.
Later all planes landed safely when the old computers were switched on to get over the problem.
