Kolkata: Two people were killed and another injured in a shootout over property in Kolkata early this morning.
The shooting took place at 4.30 am at a home from where a nursery school is run on Short Street near the home of the city's Police Commissioner.
A group of 15 people allegedly forced their way into the school; the police suspect that a security guard posted there opened fire at the attackers.
The school principal and her guard Pappu Khan were arrested. She claims she had complained recently to the police about threats she had received over the property.
The police is examining security camera footage to piece together the chain of events.
