A woman was run over by a private bus on busy Eastern Metropolitan Bypass this morning, the police said.
The accident occurred near Hyatt hotel when the bus hit the 54-year-old woman who was walking down the bypass.
The police said that the woman died on the spot.
She was a resident of Purbachal in Salt Lake.
The driver of the bus was arrested, the police said.
