Kolkata: The Kolkata Police has arrested the man who tried to allegedly molest a woman techie aboard a train on Sunday, forcing her to jump out.
Debshankar Sau, 36, was arrested from Uttarpara on Friday.
According to the police, Sau has a criminal record and had snatched the woman's mobile phone before molesting her.
The woman, a 25-year-old, in a bid to escape, jumped off the train at Belur, a few kilometres from Howrah.
She suffered injuries to her head and hands and was found in an unconscious state near the railway track by locals.
She was shifted to a hospital where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited her and offered to cover all her medical expenses.
