Army officials on Thursday arrested a man, who was caught posing as a Major General inside Fort William, the headquarters of the Eastern Command.
Identified as PK Mitra, the accused was caught clicking photos inside the Fort William on Wednesday. Wearing an army officer's uniform, he had claimed he was a major general in the Army.
On interrogation by army and the police, it was found that his father is a retired defence officer.
Officials said he had been visiting various civil clubs and other civil institutions claiming to be a major general in the Army.
