Kolkata: Among the tragic stories that are emerging from the fire at Kolkata's AMRI Hospital is that of Munmun's, a 36-year-old wife and mother, who was being treated for a broken ankle.
She suffocated and died inside the seven-storey building which was engulfed by a massive fire early this morning. Her husband told NDTV that before she died, she phoned him, and said she could not breathe. She also said that other patients in the orthopaedic ward had injuries which made it impossible for them to try and rush to safety.
