Kolkata: Few people were feared trapped in the debris of an old three-storied building which caved in at Pathuriaghata area in North Kolkata late on Tuesday night.
The dilapidated building, falling under Goabagan police station limits, collapsed at around 10:30 pm but there was no report of any injury or casualty, a senior Kolkata Police officer said.
Personnel of fire brigade and disaster management force were working at the spot - 42 Pathuriaghata Road - to rescue the people trapped in the debris.
The entire place was cordoned off by the police to prevent onlookers.
