Kolkata: An assistant sub inspector of Kolkata Police was admitted in hospital yesterday after he was hit by a speeding vehicle.
The police said the offender had been arrested.
ASI Indrajit Haldar of Shyampukur PS was checking vehicles at the Bidhan Sarani road, when a speeding tempo hit him. He was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital, where he was put on ventilator.
The driver of the speeding vehicle has been arrested.
