Don't you just hate it when your nose feels bumpy and grimy, even after thoroughly exfoliating your face? That's the worst feeling because a face scrub doesn't do justice to the visible pores that are present on the nose which can get clogged more easily. To truly get in there and get the gunk out, a blackhead removal strip will do the job. Here are 3 natural ways to make pore strips that will leave your nose feeling clean and smooth.
1. The sugar strip
In a saucepan, combine 3 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of honey and the juice of 1 lemon and place it on medium heat until it liquifies. Once it does, remove from the heat, add 2 - 3 drops of glycerin to the mixture and stir it together well. Apply it over your nose, allow it to harden for 20 minutes and then peel off. Thanks to the honey and glycerin, this strip will gently remove dirt and gunk from your nose pores.
2. The milk strip
Mix 1 tablespoon of warm milk and 1 tablespoon of unflavoured gelatin powder in a bowl. Then heat it in the microwave for 2 - 3 minutes until warm. By now, the mixture would have turned into a chunky paste. Apply it over your nose area in layers and leave it to dry for 30 minutes. Once it has cooled, peel it off from the nose area gently. The soothing properties will calm your nose area while you're at it!
3. The egg strip
Whip the white of a single egg thoroughly, until it is frothy. Apply it in a thin layer over your nose. While it is still wet, place a small strip of single ply tissue over it. Then apply a second layer of egg white on top of the tissue. Follow this up with a second layer of tissue. Finally, allow the mixture to harden for 40 minutes and once dry, peel off gently. An egg white's clarifying properties come to the rescue to absorb grime from the nose with this strip.
