Three Easy Baking Recipes For You
All these bellow recipes contain easy available, basic ingredients and they are healthy and tasty alternatives to junk food. These ingredients will not only provide you with energy but also will give you good carbohydrates. Here are super easy recipes of oatmeal raisin cookies, pancakes and chocolate rochers by Chef Eureka Araujo, Senior Pastry Chef, Academy of Pastry & Culinary Arts.
1. Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Ingredients
Butter 62 gm
Sugar 124 gm
Salt 1 gm
Eggs/ full cream 32 gm
Milk 10 gm
Flour 94 gm
Baking powder 4 gm
Baking soda 1 gm
Oats 75 gm
Raisins 62 gm
How To Make
1. With a wooden spoon cream together butter, sugar and salt till fluffy. Slowly add in eggs/cream and keep mixing them well.
2. Add the flour, baking powder & baking soda & mix well. Fold in oats and raisins.
3. Cool the dough in the chiller for about an hour. Divide into portions of around 30gm each. Roll into a ball and place on a well-oiled tray.
4. Bake at 170 degrees celsius for 16 minutes.
2. Pancakes
Ingredients
Flour 250 gm
Milk 250 gm
Sugar 62 gm
Eggs 2.5 nos
Baking powder 8 gm
How To Make
1. Whisk together the eggs and sugar. Add in the milk and mix well. Lastly, whisk in the dry ingredients.
2. Pour a ladle full of batter on a hot pan and cook till it becomes golden brown. You can eat along with honey and fresh fruits.
3. Chocolate Rocher
Ingredients
Chopped almonds 150 gm
Egg white/ Water 50 gm
Icing sugar 50 gm
Rice crispies / Puffed rice 50 gm
Dark chocolate 150 gm
How To Make
1. Mix the chopped almonds, egg white/water and sieved icing sugar together. Toast lightly in the oven till golden brown colour at 170 degrees Celsius.
2. Temper the chocolate. When the almond mixture reaches room temperature, mix the chocolate into this mixture. Divide with a spoon into small amounts and let it set.
