3 Exercises That Could Make Sex Just That Much More Pleasurable
Some exercises can do wonders for your overall sexual experience

Sex is an integral part of life - period. If you're sexually active (and, hopefully, of legal age), you've probably spent a fair amount of time thinking about sex and pleasure. Unfortunately, thanks to centuries of cultural and moral baggage around the subject, many among us shy away from talking about sex openly and honestly. While there is no substitute to frank discussions with our partners about sexual preferences - theirs and our own - there is plenty you can do on your own to make sex a more satisfying and pleasurable experience for all involved. No, we're not talking about 'the power of your mind', more like the power of your various muscles. There are some exercises that can do wonders for your overall sexual experience, when practised regularly. Here are three of our favourites:

1. Squats

Yes, squats are great for toning your legs and if you're trying to get the butt of your dreams - but all that blood pumping below your waist also improves your ability to get aroused when the time comes. Plus, all that extra strength you're gaining by squatting is great for when you want to be on top.

2. The Bridge

The bridge helps strengthen the glutes, inner thighs, hamstrings and stretches the hip flexor. These are all muscles that you are definitely using while having sex (read: cowgirl or missionary, you can't not be using these muscles). For the bridge, lie face-up with your legs bent at your knees at a 90-degree angle from the floor and your arms spread out to the side, palms down. Raise your hips off the floor by pressing your heels and palms into the floor and squeezing your glutes. The bridge pose helps awaken the pelvic floor muscles and can lead to stronger, more controlled orgasms.

3. Kegels

The pelvic floor muscles play a very important role in helping you orgasm. Kegel exercises are a great way to strengthen these muscles. You know the best part about kegels? You can do them anywhere - and we don't mean it in a "you can stretch at your desk" kind of way. You can literally do kegels anywhere and anytime - sitting, standing or lying down. All you have to do is concentrate on tightening and releasing those pelvic floor muscles (as though you're trying to stop the flow of urine). Try doing the Kegels during intercourse to make the sensation even more intense for both you and your partner. And don't even get us started on the shuddering orgasm you could have. You're welcome.
