Head to your kitchen and whip up these face masks

Flawless, glowing skin is something we all dream of and want. Having to spend thousands of rupees on moisturisers, serums, facials, ready-made face masks - not so much. Unfortunately in the world that we live in, the price for clear, mark-free skin is only going higher by the day. It's hard to maintain clear skin thanks to the rough, pollution ridden environments most of us live in. Busy schedules and hectic lifestyles on top of that make it even harder to keep up with a much needed skincare routine. What if there was a way to get that radiant glow and smooth skin by putting in minimal time and effort? Oh, and essentially no extra money. Yes, you read that right. Great skin doesn't need to come at the cost of emptying your wallets. Just head to your kitchen and whip up these face masks.

1. Besan + Honey + Malai

In an Indian household, it would be hard not to find any of these three ingredients. All you have to do is mix these three ingredients in equal quantity or as per your preference (add more besan if you want it to be thicker) and apply generously all over your face. This paste will act as a mild scrub that will help you gently get rid of impurities and also leave your skin feeling completely soft and smooth. Due to its mild nature, this can be applied daily (unless you feel irritation). Rinse off when it solidifies on your skin.

2. Yogurt + Banana

Bananas are not just great for nutrition, but also for your skin. Bananas contain potassium, Vitamin B and C and a good amount of moisture. All these properties lead to Banana acting as a natural moisturiser for your skin. Yogurt on the other hand contains lactic acid which helps dissolve dead skin cells from the surface and helps to create a natural glow. Simply mash a banana with a fork until it forms a smooth paste. Then mix the yogurt together with it and apply generously all over your face and neck. Keep for 15-20 minutes and rinse off with cool water.

3. Coconut Oil + Lemon Juice

This combination of coconut oil and lemon juice is a great way to hydrate and brighten your skin at the same time. Coconut oil is a great moisturising agent and lemon juice has natural bleaching properties. Together, they make just the mask you need to achieve radiant and fresh looking skin. Simply mix the two together and apply on your face. Rinse off with cool water after 10-15 minutes. If you feel any irritation, rinse it off earlier.
