3 Fun Things To Do This Weekend Before Spring Finally Ends

Our country has the good luck of witnessing the many seasons that the climate bestows on us. Rain, fall, winter, heat - and we all know how unbearable the last one can be. But not just yet. As March moves to an end, signalling a summer soon to come, the weather outside is surprisingly pleasant. There is a cool breeze that blows through the day and the nights are even cooler. In fact, the nip in the air at night is the right amount of chill to enjoy the weather without layering up.

So right before this awesome mausam slips away, let's make it a point to enjoy it. Here are three things we can do with friends, family, or a beloved - or all of them - this weekend.

1. Take a long, long drive

Long enough to land yourself outside the city, but not enough to land yourself in another city altogether. Delhi peeps, head to Murthal or the Jaipur highway. Late night, late evening sounds like a good time. After the hectic week, the idea sounds just so tempting - relaxing and chilled out.

2. Have a picnic in a garden

I just love this one. It's a personal favourite if I may share that. A bottle of wine, some sandwiches, chocolate tarts, a good book, some acoustic music, all of you together parked in a lush garden. You get the feeling that you aren't in the city even when you pretty much are. Probably pick a spot under a tree. Take the kids and the dog along. Board games? Yes, yes! Here's to reliving those childhood days.

3. Have a terrace party

Have you been too tied up with work and is there a whole line of people waiting to meet you and hang out? And obviously you can't fit everyone into one weekend. Or can you? Like I said, the nights are so pleasant - so how about a terrace party? Decked out with fairy lights, good food and beer, and some fine music. It will sure be a night to remember.
