With all the heat, chemical laden products and other styling products and tools that we use on our hair, having hair that is soft and silky all year round is hard to achieve. It's common to go to the salon and spend hefty amounts in trying to make your hair look picture perfect, but your dry hair needs more TLC than that. Although there are plenty of products available in the market that could perhaps help your hair improve over time, there's really no need for you to spend all that money in order to revitalise your hair. There are some home made formulas that will prove to be much more effective and beneficial, and not to miss, nearly free of cost.

Here are a few hair masks you can make at home to revitalise your dry hair.
1. Methi + Curd
Soak three tablespoons of methi seeds overnight. In a cup, add five tablespoons of curd and add in the methi mixture. Blend them together to form a thick paste. Apply this paste all over your scalp and massage it in. Leave it applied for an hour and then wash off with warm water. While the good bacteria in curd will help reduce any sort of irritation in the scalp as well as dryness, the methi will help with healthy hair growth.
2. Coconut mask
Nothing beats coconut oil when it comes to reversing hair damage. Simply combine two tablespoons of coconut oil, slightly warmed, with three tablespoons coconut milk. Thoroughly apply this mixture starting from the scalp all the way down to the ends of your hair. Leave the mixture applied on your hair for three hours and then wash off with a gentle shampoo and lukewarm water. This coconut mask will help moisturise your hair and help drive away the dryness.
3. Honey + Banana
Bananas are great for strengthening the hair, while honey is deeply moisturising. Together, these two ingredients will help condition and thicken your hair naturally. Simply mash a banana and add one tablespoon of honey and mix them well together. Apply all over your hair and let it sit for 30-40 minutes before washing off with lukewarm water.
