Explore the St. Jerome Fort area

Situated in Nani Daman, the fort area is one of the cleanest and most colourful part of the city. Not only do you get to see the oldest establishments of the city here but also some colourful Portuguese colonial architecture and buildings that will give you some serious Pondicherry vibes. This is also where the Cathedral of Bom Jesus is situated - a church that dates back to 1603.

See the lighthouse

The best thing about exploring the lighthouse area in Daman is how you can sit on the ramparts built around it and overlook the sea, the fishermen’s market below, and the boats sailing far out. Sit here and relax for a while - early morning and close to sunset are the best times to go here.

Jampore and Devka are the two beaches you should consider parking yourself at in Daman. This is where you will be served not just some great seafood but also whole range of alcohol. And both the alcohol and the food are reasonably priced so you try out different dishes without burning a hole in your pocket.
