If you are feeling particularly creative this weekend, how about creating something that is artsy and also useful? So how about creating something for your room - something that you can boast of making yourself and something which also brings you some light at the end of day. Literally. We are saying you should probably spend the coming weekend indulging in some fun do-it-yourself. We suggest these lamps that you can make out a lot of things lying around the house. Here are a few you can go about making.
Wine bottle lamp
Old beer bottles, wine bottles, glass bottles can all be recycled to make a ambient lamp for your room. Just add some warm fairy lights inside the bottle, maybe use a string of jute to make a handle to hang the bottle and you are all set. You can also adjust a bulb at the mouth of the old bottle and make a standing lamp of it.
Old crochet fabric/top
How about using an old torn dress to make a lampshade? All you have to do is cut it in a uniform shape and wrap it carefully around the frame attached to the bulb. Voila!
Yarn lamps
Take a inflated round balloon, and paste crisscrossed yarn thread all around it. Let it set. Once you know the yarn is set in the round shape, deflate the balloon and you have your new lamp. All you need to do is add a bulb.
Old wrapping paper lamp
There are plenty of old handmade paper, wrarpping paper and all lying around the house all the time. How about bring them back to life by wrapping them around a light bulb?
Creativity + a new lamp = win, win!
