5 Tips To Keep In Mind When Chatting With A Potential Love Interest Online
"What's up?" "What did you do all day?" "So, what else?" - no. Have real conversations, real questions

In the age of social media, online dating is thriving. A lot of people who were against it earlier have now warmed up to the idea of Tinder and other mobile applications being a source of potential partners, lovers and friends. That is also the reason why there is not one but so many online dating apps available for people to swipe through. But when you match with someone you have great chemistry with, and the conversations are fantastic, and the attraction is mutual, how do you make sure you don't mess the whole thing up?

Here's what to keep in mind.

Be engaging

If you are looking for something fun and long-term, not mundane or boring, have an engaging conversation rather than small talk. Try and talk to them as if you already know them. That is an easy way to have a friendly and smart conversation.

Ask real questions

"What's up?" "What did you do all day?" "So, what else?" - no. Have real conversations, real questions - that is where you actually get to know the person they really are. Are they into travel? Ask them where they have been and what cities they liked. Into food? Talk about good Italian places in the city. You get the drift.

Know where you want to go

A lot of times conversations online keep going on and on without any direction. As great as going with the flow is for a while, there needs to be a direction you are heading towards. Make sure you both are on the same page so there are no misunderstandings later.

Don't get too excited

Putting all your eggs in one basket when it comes to online dating is never a good idea. It tends to put your focus on one person too much, therefore, increasing the chances of messing it up. Talking to multiple people, in the beginning, is a good idea. Not until you meet the person should you be getting serious at all.

Be yourself

Whatever happens, however the conversation is going, do not project yourself to be someone you aren't. Never works out well.
