When it comes to keeping up with trends and pioneering the biggest fashion statements of the season, there's no one like the Kapoor ladies. From Kareena and Karisma to Sonam and Rhea and now Janhvi and her younger sister Khushi - the Kapoor girls know fashion and how. If there's ever a new trend in town, you can be sure to spot it on them first. But there are particularly some of the Kapoor women (coincidentally those currently working in films as actors) who have been giving us style lessons in how to wear something we all probably own - denim. That's right, we're talking about Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Janhavi Kapoor. These women know how to make their basics look like red carpet outfits just by the way they carry them off with such panache. Something as basic as a denim outfit can pass off as a statement piece when it's one of these ladies that has it on. Have a look at the way in which Kareena, Sonam and Janhavi are working their denim this summer.
Kareena has been known as one of the most fashionable in Bollywood since she first made her debut in 2000. Nearly two decades on, and she still hasn't lost her standing in the world of fashion or films. This season Kareena is making her presence felt as a fashionista by making a new style statement everyday (courtesy the promotions of her upcoming film, Veere Di Wedding). But what's particularly caught our attention is the way that Kareena has worn denim co-ords on two separate occasions during the promotions - one, a cropped denim jacket with a midi denim skirt, and another, a two toned denim blazer and culotte set. We absolutely love them both.

Sonam Kapoor has been the talk of the town for a while now. It started with her wedding, moved onto her appearance at Cannes and now it's all about her upcoming film, Veere Di Wedding which also stars Kareena. Seems like a comprehensive and edgy sense of fashion is not the only thing Sonam and Kareena have in common. For the promotions of their film, Sonam was spotted in a shredded denim saree designed by Diksha Khanna. She paired the avant garde saree with a white shirt also from Diksha Khanna.
We've seen Sonam try a different version of the denim saree before. Sonam had worn a recycled Levi's denim saree by designer Masaba Gupta last year. Similar concept, yet the sarees are very different in their own ways.

Janhvi Kapoor might only just be starting out, with her debut film yet to release - but this Kapoor already has over a million followers on Instagram. While the Kapoor name might have added to that number a little bit, we suspect it's Janhvi's fun, fresh and rather chic style that has contributed even further. For a night out with friends in Mumbai, Janhvi chose to wear this denim dress. She kept it classic by teaming it with a pair of nude heels and gold hoops.
