1. Kesar Da Dhaba

Located close to the Golden Temple, Kesar da Dhaba is tucked away in one of the tiny lanes in the old city. If you have difficulties in locating it through maps, just ask people around and they will point you towards it instantly. Everyone knows about the legendary eatery, wherein the dishes are prepared in desi ghee. Must-haves include the overnight cooked maa ki dal, Punjabi chole, lachha paratha and matka phirni, among others. Don't miss out on the specials for the day.

3. Kanha Sweets

This small time eatery is a popular pick for breakfast and evening treats. Even though the space is limited, it doesn't stop food lovers from thronging the place. Must-haves include chole bhature, gur ka halwa, pinni, aloo poori and lassi.
