1. Beetroot Dye 

Homemade hair dye with beetroot will give your hair a deep burgundy hair colour. Take beetroot shavings and mix them with some carrier oil. Apply the mixture to your hair and wrap it in a plastic cap. Wash it off after an hour. You can even keep it for a little longer if you want a deep red shade.

2. Carrot Dye 

Want to give a red or orange tinge to your hair? Try this carrot juice dye. Yes, you read it right. Mix carrot juice with any hair oil. Apply the mixture to your hair, cover it up with a shower cap and leave it for an hour, before taking a shower. 

3. Coffee Dye

Mix a tablespoon of coffee with a cup of water, and put it to boil until it gets reduced to one-third of the original amount. Shampoo your hair as usual and give the last rinse with the decoction of coffee.

4. Henna Dye 

This homemade hair dye prepared with henna gives a maroonish shade to the tresses. Mix water and henna in a bowl and leave it overnight. Next day, apply it evenly on your hair, covering the roots. Leave it for two hours until the henna dries up, and wash it off with cold water.

5. Saffron Dye 

Instead of trying chemical-based colours to cover up your grey and white tresses, prepare this saffron dye for a natural and hair-health-friendly procedure. Boil 1 tablespoon of saffron strands in 2 cups of water for approximately 20 minutes. Cool it down, and apply it all over your hair and scalp. Rinse it with shampoo and conditioner.
