We're rounding up the best of 2020's social media fashion challenges that no one, from your favourite influencer to starry celebrities could resist trying their hand at.
1. Quarantine Pillow Challenge
What has been the most indispensable part of your quarantine? Your pillow, of course because at least sleep wasn't going anywhere. In the #QuarantinePillowChallenge, the fluffy pillow also became an integral part of fashion looks. It was positioned as a mainstay of an outfit, with designer handbags, flashy belts and sky high stilettos complementing it, as demonstrated gorgeously by Tamannaah Bhatia.
2. Met Gala Challenge
The MET Gala is considered the Oscars of the fashion world so it was heartbreaking to hear it had been cancelled in 2020. However it definitely wasn't forgotten and the #MetGalaChallenge made sure of that. Celebrities like Mindy Kaling showcased her at-home recreation of Jared Leto's striking ensemble, complete with a decapitated mannequin in her arm. What followed were thousands of similar recreations of designer looks from previous years using items at home.

3. Don't Rush Challenge
Also known as Pass The Brush challenge, this social media trend wasn't as easy as clicking a photo. It combined groups of friends who pass an item between them and simultaneously change their outfits. The #Don'tRushChallenge was a hit among fashion and beauty influencers, especially in the Indian sphere.
4. Daytime Nightclub
As there was barely any semblance of time in quarantine, this challenge made the best of it by asking users to dress their best flashy nightclub worthy looks while it was still sunny outside. This social media challenge came straight from the heart as every entry led to a donation which made it extra special.
5. Home Couture
The #HomeCouture challenge was a more hilarious take on recreating designer creations at home; the more ridiculous, the better. Absolutely no item at home was spared so everything from toilet paper rolls to garbage bags went into bringing these couture looks to life.
6. Switch To PJs
The award for the most utilised clothing item during the lockdown goes to our pajamas. All our tasks, from typing at our laptops to attending work calls were done in our PJs. So the #SwitchToPJs challenge, which was mainly an Indian influencer trend, felt right up our alley. Similar to the #PassTheBrush challenge, it involved changing from a fancy get-up to a comfy pair of pajamas, which is undoubtedly the best outfit there is.
7. Pose At Home
Now this one was best suited for the photo lovers. Months at home may have turned their posing skills just a little bit dull but model Coco Rocha wasn't going to let that happen for too long. With #PoseAtHome , the art form of striking a pose was encouraged in every possible spot in the home, whether it was on top of the washing machine or on the kitchen counter.
8. Binspiration
Staying at home for weeks on end definitely got dreary, especially for all those clothes sitting quietly in the closet and not being worn. The #binspiration encouraged everyone to put on their best looks for a daily getaway, from the house to the curb to keep the garbage bin outside. There's never a bad time to be fashionable.
