Any acne sufferer will tell you how debilitating the skin condition can make you feel, how it can drain you emotionally and sap your confidence. Along with battling plunging self-esteem, even simple tasks like looking in the mirror is difficult. The good news is, we're not alone in the fight against acne and we've just found our new leader - model Kendall Jenner, who didn't let blemished skin keep her off the Golden Globes' red carpet and then later shut trolls down with a single tweet. A rousing cheer for Kendall Jenner, please - and these are words we never thought we'd be writing.
At last night's Golden Globe awards, the 22-year-old supermodel walked the red carpet in a strapless black Giambattista Valli asymmetrical gown which she paired with Christian Louboutin heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery, in solidarity with the Time's Up movement. Along with that, she wore her hair in a shaggy long bob and complemented it with winged eyes and plump nude lips. She looked great - but apparently not great enough.
Because no matter how gorgeous you look or if you're one of the world's youngest supermodels from reality TV's first family, haters gonna hate. Critics tore her down on social media for her seemingly less-than-perfect appearance, shaming her for showing her face in public with a cluster of pimples (what horror!) - but being a Kardashian through and through, Kendall handled the trolls like a boss.
never let that shit stop you! https://t.co/uXlqwJxTPf

Twitter loves Kendall's attitude:
In a very superficial world, @KendallJenner exposing her truth about acne is truly fitting to @Oprah 's speech about truth and women being strong enough to make a difference. Kendall has probably made every girl's day. So many models but only a few role models. #TIMESUP

Kendall Jenner is so brave for showing off her acne with a full face of makeup. No one says love yourself like the Kardashians/Jenners.

Lesson: Love yourself, imperfections and all, like Kendall Jenner who has spoken out about her fight with acne before and the impact it had on her confidence and self-consciousness. Along with finding the right skin regime and treatment, she decided to simply work on not caring so much about it.
If you thought you had it tough to live your life with acne spots, imagine how much more difficult it must be for someone whose very career depends on looking flawless. While we'd shudder to step out with a zit, Jenner strutted her stuff with bundles of confidence on the Golden Globes red carpet. It may seem insurmountable but like Kendall Jenner said, don't let it stop you.
