Actress Sayani Gupta’s Contemporary Style Has Our Attention

You may have first seen Sayani (pronounced Shayoni) Gupta in her striking role of a visually-impaired young woman in Shonali Bose's Margarita With A Straw or with Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra in Baar Baar Dekho. The Bollywood actress, a graduate from FTII or Film and Television Institute of India, always knew that acting was her calling, and so she ditched her successful career in marketing and sales to become a talented actress who, by now, has already acted in numerous plays and a couple of feature films. Sayani Gupta has even worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Fan and Akshay Kumar in Jolly LLB 2.

It's not only in her acting that we get to see Sayani's versatility. Her contemporary sense of style is hard to miss, and it's incredible how effortlessly she carries Indian ethnic and Western wear, setting style inspiration for all.

Sarees, of course, seem to be a favourite of the Bengali beauty. On various occasions, we have seen Sayani dressing in stunning designs, making us wishing to up our saree game too. Such as this pretty saree in shades of grey and gold from Raw Mango, which she has teamed with standout jewellery.

Another time Sayani showed us how to sport the perfect summer look with this caramel coloured, cotton strip organza sari by Anavila Misra, which she paired with a canary yellow, scallop neck silk blouse. With chunky danglers and high bun, her look was a lesson in how one can glam up one's ethnic wardrobe.
