Inside Jennifer Garner's Historic And Luxurious LA Home

Jennifer Garner has taken the internet on a tour of her new Los Angeles abode. Nestled in Hollywood's sun-dappled hills, her new retreat is a luxurious blend of farmhouse charm and comfort. In an exclusive interview with AD, Jennifer talked about her space and what went behind decorating the place. She said, “I wanted it to feel old and cool and historic, but I also wanted to make it work for a big family with a lot of things going on.” Jennifer also revealed that this was the first time she had designed her place. The decor and interior design of her house was done by the duo Steve and Brooke Giannetti. The duo talked to AD, about Jennifer's expectations from her new house, saying, “she wanted a new, warm, family home”.

The house's architecture drew inspiration from Jennifer's childhood memories of life in West Virginia. The vision that turned into reality featured a garden in the front walk-through, trees leading to the entrance and a rear facade that felt open to the outdoors. Enveloped in the woods and orchards, the design of the house paid homage to the great outdoors at every turn, through various art and textiles like a screened-in-porch on the second floor. The interior design focused on a calm and neutral palette. Brooke stated that "Jen loves vintage pieces" so, they made sure to add designer items, like a French 1850s farmhouse table for the dining room, along with vintage decorative pieces from Swedish and Danish designers.

Moving forward, the kitchen is said to be one of the most welcoming spaces in the house. It featured boned marble, soapstone countertops, rounded mohair-covered breakfast table chairs and a fireplace. Steve talked about the idea behind it and said, “She's not trying to be showy or have huge pops of colour or stuff like that. There's a kind of natural quietness to the things that she likes.”

She also wanted to create a space and comforting rooms. Which led to unique things like a cozy blue study with an upstairs reading nook complete with stained-glass windows. The windows are done by artist Reed Bradley and are inspired by the illustrations by his mother. The work features owls representing Jennifer's kids and their dog. Taking us through the outdoor areas we see that they are designed in collaboration with landscape designer Christine London. A kitchen garden provides a warm ambience and provides fresh fruits and vegetables alongside a pool and firepit area that are an ideal place to hang out.

Overall, Jennifer's LA home is the perfect blend of the modern world with vintage historical resemblances.
