Dreams do come true or at least Alia Bhatt can testify that hers came true on the 14th of April, 2022 after she tied the knot with the love of her life, Ranbir Kapoor. We'd be lying if we hadn't started seeing dreams ourselves of them getting hitched. But needless to say that we're still reeling from the most talked about wedding days after the couple got married. A lot has to be credited to their dreamy wedding looks that have continued to live in our heads rent-free. We always had a vision of Alia Bhatt as a bride and we're glad to say that she surpassed all of it in her own stylish flair that truly was an extension of her beliefs and personal style. Alia Bhatt ditched the usual traditional red for an ivory Sabyasachi organza saree, not a lehenga, ladies. Her classic ivory saree was complemented with a gorgeous uncut diamond jewellery set also by Sabyasachi and a matching white and gold tissue veil over her head topped it all. Truly breathtaking as a bride, Alia Bhatt's wedding looks wouldn't have been perfect if they didn't come with her personal touch wherever she could add it.

Alia Bhatt's vivacious personality is a ray of sunshine on a gloomy day. Those were signified with beautiful butterflies embroidered on her blouse in gold zari. Also embroidered was her wedding date on the veil, a personalised touch we could all draw inspiration from.

We also saw beautiful yet fun elements encapsulated in her gorgeous custom-made kaleeras designed by Bollywood favourite Mrinalini Chandra, who lent her creative genius to celebrity brides like Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif too. Her kaleeras were complete with dangling stars, clouds and Ranbir Kapoor's favourite number - 8.

Her wedding ring however made the maximum noise for all the right reasons. The ring was reportedly designed by famous luxury jewellery designers - Van Cleef and Arpels and what made this ring so special was the significance of the numerical 8 in the making of this ring. As Ranbir's favourite number, her large diamond ring sat atop a band with 8 diamonds around it. The jewellery label are said to take as long as 9 months to create a ring so we know Ranbir had this one in the making for at least 9 months if not more.

There are many instances of the numerical that come forward to denote the couples love for it. God is surely in the details especially when Alia Bhatt's bespoke wedding looks were being designed. A closer look at the mangalsutra shows an infinity drop pendant which is just another adorable addition to the wedding look. In case you didn't notice, the infinity sign is the numerical 8 turned horizontally!

Alia Bhatt is a strong advocate of sustainable fashion and her wedding look was not going be anything else. Her mehendi outfit put the fun in funky as it should for the most exciting part of the wedding festivities. But it obviously wasn't going to be one out of the ordinary. Manish Malhotra elaborately designed the bright pink lehenga where approximately 180 textile patches from all over the country were stitched together for her most special occasion. Nearly 3,000 hours of intricate handwork done by women from the Mijwan Women's Society came to weave this fairytale come to life. Alia Bhatt truly stepped out of a dream for her wedding day and the festivities that preceded it.
