The young and feisty Alia Bhatt is our go-to person for everyday fashion inspiration.

Her style is effortless, chic and relatable. What we love most is that her outfits are also easy to recreate - unlike those of several other stars. Be it ripped denims or leather jackets, Alia Bhatt can carry off almost anything. Or maybe she's just great at picking stuff that works for her. Either way, she's certainly one of the most stylish celebrities around. From the school girl in Student of the Year to the rebellious young woman in Udta Punjab, Alia's style has evolved by leaps and bounds.

However, it's not just her off-duty or red carpet that inspires us. Whether it be an elegant saree or a lehenga or even a sharara, each and every one of her outfits is drool worthy. If you are in a fix over what to wear this wedding season, Alia Bhatt comes your rescue. Take some inspiration, girls, and be ready to slay this wedding season.

1 . Mehendi / Haldi

Mehendi and haldi functions are intimate yet super fun. The families celebrate by getting the bride ready for her big day, decorating the bride's hands with henna, making her wear the chuda, putting haldi on her face and what not.

This look is something you might already own. She paired a kurta in a mehendi green - how apt! - with off-white palazzo pants and our all time favourite juttis. We love how relatable this look is. She kept her makeup simple, with hair kept natural and unstyled, and accessorised with jhumka earrings. This look is perfect for an intimate mehendi function.

Looks like Alia loves pastels. She wore an off-white suit with colorful embroidery on it from the label Nikasha. The colour looks so fresh. She teamed it with simple block heels in gold and heavy jhumka earrings from her mentor's label 'Tyaani'. Perfect for an intimate pooja you might be attending.

Opt for a chikankari suit to your next wedding haldi function just like Alia. Nude heels allow her green chikankari ensemble from Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla to stand out. Even though the outfit is simple, the chikankari work gives it so much elegance. With simple earrings, Alia Bhatt looks fresh as a daisy. We love.

This Alia outfit consists of a lehenga skirt in a blue and white zigzag print and a white shirt with statement sleeves. Don't miss the gold print on the shirt, all by designer Natasha Davda. Her gold jhumka earrings complemented the gold in her shirt perfectly. This look is perfect for a day haldi or mehendi function. Pair a lehenga skirt with a shirt or a blouse and you are shaadi-ready. No stress about matching a choli and dupatta.

2. Sangeet /cocktail

This goes without saying, a sangeet is when you need to put on your dancing shoes. The 'war; between theladko and ladki's sides is the fun about the sangeet.

Remember what we said about Alia Bhatt's love for pastels? Here. She's keeping it classy with a waterfall-hem tunic an a pair of low crotch pants. With a muted colour tone and minimal accessories, this look is perfect for people who don't like going over the top. Try this look for a sangeet function to keep yourself free to grove to the beats - heels are optional because this ensemble works with juttis too. It will make you stand apart.

If you are bored with lehengas and anarkalis, you could give the sharara a try. They are basically the loose flared pants. Opt for a sharara for a cocktail or sangeet function since they will keep you comfortable through the night. Alia here wears the Imarti brocade kurta with a sharara and an odhni from A-list label Raw Mango. Her look is minimal, even though the outfit itself is rich in texture. She completed the ensemble with just a pair of earrings.

Try giving your anarkali a miss at your next sangeet function, and experiment with trousers and a shirt. No, we are not talking office wear and it is certainly not boring. Alia Bhatt went for bold solid colours like yellow and pink, that make her stand out. She can be seen wearing the Dokai shirt with the Daulati trousers from Raw Mango. She finished her look with silver earrings and gold heels. Keeping her makeup simple and light, she did her hair neatly in a bun.

This Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla outfit is another pastel beauty. Alia looked lovely in a beige chikankari skirt and a taffeta crop top with bell sleeves for a recent award function. Give this skirt and crop top combo a go for a fun-filled sangeet function.

3. Wedding

For the main event, you are going to want to put your best fashion foot forward. And don't worry, you're never going to outshine the bride so go all out.

How can a wedding-inspired article be complete without Sabyasachi? Here, Alia Bhatt wears a gold heavily-embellished ensemble by the designer, known for his intricately crafted festive wear. This reminds us of the heavy sarees our mom used to own. From head to toe in gold, Alia complements her attire with gold earrings, pulled-back hair and that beautiful smile of hers. Opt for such an outfit for a night-time wedding function and you will look like a million bucks.

You can go never go wrong with a saree - it flatters every body type and is a timeless piece. In keeping with her quirky choices, Alia Bhatt chose to wear a saree in a bright orange with parrots on it. Super cute! And again went with simple bun, with gold earrings to amp up her Indian quotient. This girl sure knows how to look desi without the OTT factor.

Here, Alia can be seen wearing a brocade green Manish Malhotra lehenga,. She teamed it up green kundan earrings and a simple bun. We are so digging that gajra. Such a simple accessory to pick. Try wearing something like this for an engagement or a night-time wedding function. You will definitely make heads turn.

'Stunning in white', is what comes to our mind. Try going for a muted tone like this one for a daytime wedding. Alia is wearing a white Manish Malhotra ensemble with thread work and embroidery. We love the deep-neck blouse with net sleeves and embroidery. Also don't miss how she draped her dupatta, keeping her look sexy yet understated. She is definitely a sight to behold.

4. Reception

This is the last function of the celebrations. But don't think you can wear just anything on this day, even if you are suffering from wedding fatigue. Try going a little light for this function, since we know you must be tired after the week-long dancing.

Looking regal in Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla, Alia wore this ensemble for her childhood friend and ace designer Masaba Gupta's reception. Her hair is neatly pinned back and her jewellery consists of just a pair of beautiful earrings. The red piping on her dupatta and kurta help break up the all-white look. Perfect for the people who believe that less is more.

If experimenting is not your thing, an anarkali is your ideal choice. Here, Alia can be seen wearing Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla - a hand-made, ankle-length anarkali in off-white with embroidery on the neck and the ghera. She went ahead with a bold lip and a bun. We already know about her love for braids and we can spot one in her hairdo.

Alia too adores pink, like many of us. Wearing a pink brocade lehenga skirt with a chiffon sequinned shirt from Manish Malhotra, Alia went for an out-of-the-box choice. Girls, if you want to be traditional yet stand apart at your next reception, try giving your white shirt a go this wedding season. We promise you will be the talk of the town.
