Hina Khan has shaved her head amid her battle with breast cancer. The actress, who was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in June is currently undergoing treatment. Sharing a video on Instagram, Hina revealed how the sight of her hair falling out was “stressful and painful” for her to bear. So, she took the tough decision to chop off her tresses, all of it. The clip began with Hina sitting on a chair while a person shaved her mane with a trimmer. The montage also featured visuals of clumps of hair on the pillow and her clothes — a side-effect of intense medical treatments.
Hina Khan being a braveheart, embraced her new shaved head graciously. She said, “You can win this only if you embrace it, accept it, and I choose to accept my battle scars because I believe if you embrace yourself, you are a step closer to your healing and I really want to heal and focus on that aspect of my life. I don't want to go through that process where every time I put my hand in my hair, a bunch of hair falls. It is very stressful and depressing. I don't want to go through that.”
“It's time to BUZZ it off. Here's another attempt to Normalise the hardest phase of this journey, aesthetically speaking. Remember ladies.. our strength is our Patience and calm. If we put our minds to it nothing is unattainable. Mind over Matter,” read her inspiring caption.
Hina Khan refuses to bow down to her ailment. Previously, she chose to opt for a pixie haircut. “I choose to let go of my beautiful hair before it starts falling off. I didn't want to endure this mental breakdown for weeks. So, I choose to let go of my crown because I've realised my real crown is my COURAGE, my STRENGTH, and the love I have for myself. I have decided to use my own hair to make a nice Wig for this phase,” she wrote in the caption.
