When there's a Bollywood celebrity bash, the dress code is unfailing the same. Black dresses in abundance and sequin numbers in all their glory; it stays almost unchanged even over months and years. But there's always a celebrity or two who gives star party fashion their signature touch. For Karan Johar's 50th birthday party that took place last night, it was none other than Tamannaah Bhatia. Expectantly enough, actresses showed up in cutout dresses, jumpsuits and gowns which looked like they had a group call to decide their red carpet look. But Tamannaah did things differently and stood out in a brilliant flash of colour last night.

The star opted for a bright pink oversized sequin shirt which was left partially unbuttoned in front. It featured a collar and long sleeves in a baggy fit. Matching it was a pink mini skirt, also covered in entirety with sequins. Tamannaah completed the look with hot pink pointed pumps and ditched any accessories to let the shock of colour and unique clothing choice grab all the attention itself.

And that's exactly what it did because she was undoubtedly one of the most stylish at the event. Tamannah also wore her hair in an updo hairstyle with smokey eye makeup, none of which took the attention away from her look. Maybe this is the reminder we all need to take a different path when the dress code doesn't always speak to our style sensibilities.
