Ananya Panday Borrows, And Aces, Dad Chunky's Style From The 80s

Karan Johar and Dharma Productions' latest Bollywood prodigy, Ananya Panday, is all set to make her debut in Student Of The Year 2, later this year. Not so unlike many of the other star kids looking to enter the movie business, Ananya Panday is already at the receiving end of public scrutiny and attention in equal measure. The young actor seems to have gained a decent fan following of her own - 368k and counting on Instagram. While Ananya Panday's SOTY 2 look has been very well received, people are especially admiring Ananya's simple and elegant sense of style in real life.

After having shot a schedule of her upcoming film in Dehradun and Mussoorie, Ananya now seems to be enjoying some down time in New York. Downtime with a little bit of fashion. Ananya Panday's sense of fashion is far from over the top, but the 19 year old seems to tick both the trendy and chic boxes with ease.

Ananya's latest outfit came with its fair share of colour. Ananya paired her bright, multi-coloured, front tie-up top with a pair of white shorts. Her look, even with that bright top, was still minimalistic - but hold on, who was it inspired by? Ananya's style inspiration for this look was none other than her father, Chunky Panday. From the 80s! If you look close enough, you might even realise just how right Ananya got the details with the layered necklaces, et al. Her caption read "Today's style inspo - Dad in the 80s".

Chunky Panday's friend, Sanjay Kapoor, left quite an apt comment on the picture shared by Ananya. Sanjay's comment read - "Dad is still wearing these shirts". Well, Sanjay, we have to say we agree with you too. Here's a more recent picture of Chunky Panday wearing a bright floral shirt. The picture seems to have been taken during the shooting of one of the Housefull movies.
