Summer doesn't end even when your meal does at April by Kay

Nestled in the heart of Greater Kailash - II in the capital, April by Kay offers more than just a meal; the harmonious blend of culinary delight with aesthetic pleasure is hard to miss. The moment you enter this cosy restaurant, you're greeted by an airy, sunlit space that immediately lifts your spirits. The interiors of April by Kay are meticulously designed to emphasise natural lighting, creating an ambience that feels both modern and inviting. Large, floor-to-ceiling windows dominate the walls, allowing abundant natural light to flood the space. The use of minimal neutral furniture and a large bougainvillaea plant in the middle makes the perfect backdrop for your next Instagram post. The clever use of neutrals serves another purpose, a very important one - it ensures that their very colourful culinary presentations remain the centre of attraction.

At the heart of April by Kay's culinary philosophy is a commitment to using the freshest produce available. The menu is a testament to this dedication, featuring seasonal ingredients crafted to highlight the natural flavours and vibrant colours of the ingredients. To all those who never saw the full potential of a gorgeous plate of salad, never laid their eyes on the Avocado and Citrus Salad. It's a serving of creamy avocado slices paired with segments of juicy grapefruit and orange, all drizzled with a light vinaigrette. The easiest and freshest way to beat the heat if you ask us. A moment of silence for all the times we have said no to broccoli growing up. Had there been a provision to have met the Broccoli Hot Honey sooner, the world would be a different place. What is better than cheese? A ball of burrata on a bed of pesto served with freshly baked focaccia bread. Nobody says no to freshly grilled prawns. Neither did we and thank God we didn't because we would have missed trying possibly the juiciest, most flavourful ones.

The salad and appetizers at April by Kay

For the main course, April by Kay offers a variety of options that cater to diverse palates. Even with the vastly European menu, it is difficult to ignore the few Asian-inspired dishes. The chicken skewers slathered with various Asian sauces among the likes of Gochujang and Teriyaki were a great accompaniment to the roasted chicken rice bowl that explodes in the mouth with spicy and tangy flavours.

The mains at April by Kay with an Asian touch

No meal at April by Kay is complete without sampling their exquisite desserts. The Mandarin Posset, a seasonal favourite, we wished remained on the menu forever because it deserves all the love it could receive. Exceptional doesn't cut how exquisite this humble, creamy dessert was. We'd give up the classic Tiramisu, which we had a generously boozy serving we enjoyed thoroughly, for this flavourful sweet keepsake.

There aren't many restaurants that can take your breath away. It's pleasing to see that this humble little restaurant doesn't just aim for skyscraping heights but as a matter of fact, isn't too far away from a space on the top without even trying.
