'Baby's First Couture': Janhvi Kapoor's First Red Carpet, With Help From Cousin Rhea

The Vogue Beauty Awards 2018 took place in Mumbai last night - and walking the red carpet was the Kapoor family's youngest Bollywood star - Jahnvi Kapoor. Janhvi Kapoor has been receiving much love and appreciation for her debut film, Dhadak, which released last month. But last night, Janhvi seems to have received some love not just from her fans, but also from her elder (cousin) sister, Rhea Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor's younger sister, Rhea, is undoubtedly one of Bollywood's most talented stylists, always making her muses (mostly her sister, Sonam Kapoor) easily look like the most stylish people in the room. Last night for Janhvi's first red carpet appearance as an actor, Rhea styled her in her very first couture piece. "Baby's first couture" read Rhea's caption as she shared a picture of Janhvi looking absolutely resplendent. Seems like Rhea has taken her baby sister Janhvi under her fashion wings. We love it.

Janhvi Kapoor's first film in Bollywood opposite Ishaan Khattar and produced by Dharma Productions seems to have made quite an impression on the audiences - with it's gross collection having crossed 100 crore worldwide. It's no wonder that at the Vogue Beauty Awards held last night, Janhvi looked every bit a star, in spite of being just one film old. But credit given where credit is due - in this case to Janhvi's cousin sister, Rhea Kapoor.

For the awards last night, Rhea styled Janhvi in a crystal embellished feathered gown from a fashion house whose garments we've seen her style Sonam in many times before - Ralph and Russo. Janhvi looked absolutely stunning in this haute couture number.

Janhvi seems to be following in the footsteps of her rather stylish older cousin, Sonam Kapoor, thanks to Rhea Kapoor. Ralph and Russo are a designer duo we have heard and seen much of, thanks to Sonam's clear love for them and their designer pieces. Most recently, we saw Sonam wear Ralph and Russo custom made couture at the Cannes Film Festival 2018.

Sonam's most iconic look in Ralph and Russo was perhaps when she closed the Ralph and Russo Haute Couture show in Paris last year. Doesn't she look absolutely ethereal?
