Take a walk down memory lane to the 90s and you'll note that some of the best pop rock musical acts existed in that era. Teen queens like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera were the hottest names. From amongst the male segment, the most popular were the Backstreet Boys and that's without a shadow of a doubt.
Consisting of Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Howie D.; during the decade, there wasn't a single person who hadn't heard of the Backstreet Boys. Post their debut single 'We've Got It Goin' On" in the summer of '95, the band was a smash hit; not just in the US but across the world. Surely you remember their popular songs like "Quit Playing Games", "Inconsolable" and "Everybody". These phenomenal hits, and so many more were constantly played on the radio and let's not forget about the TV request shows.
Basically, the Backstreet Boys were everywhere. From the Superbowl acts to tours in Taiwan and Switzerland, they left their musical mark across the world. Like any successful stars, they even went on to star in TV shows like Sabrina The Teenage Witch; besides releasing their own Backstreet Boys movie, that is. They continued to stay popular for decades and even celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2013. Since then, possibly due to the influx of numerous other boy bands like One Direction, they quietly continued to perform and tour, mostly away from the spotlight.
Until today, that is. After a five year long gap, the boy band finally dropped a new single called "Don't Go Breaking My Heart". We can almost hear the screams of 90s girls everywhere. In true BB style, it's a love themed pop-styled catchy tune that's high on foot tapping appeal. Press play and you're in for a nostalgia trip, albeit with a current vibe.
