The black dress is almost mandatory at a star-studded event in Bollywood and you're certain to see at least one celebrity wearing a black dress of some kind. So if you need to stand out in your black dress, you've got to do something different. You know, the way Gauri Khan did. The first lady of Bollywood and better half to Shah Rukh Khan will shortly be seen on this week's episode of Koffee With Karan with her Bollywood Wives pals. But before it goes on the air and we get a chance to get a glimpse of her style on our screens, Gauri was snapped in Mumbai attending an event. Of course all eyes were on her at the function but it wasn't simply because she's Gauri Khan. Her outfit had a lot to do with it.

The celebrity wore a black dress that had a unique feature which made it stand out. Along with thin straps and a dipped neckline, it featured a wavy cutout detail across the torso which had a sheer mesh overlay. The length of her dress had a slim column silhouette with a slit at the base. Along with a glorious coloured stone necklace, she also had a matching cuff around her arm.
