Kareena Kapoor may be fresh off the runway as the showstopper of Lakme Fashion Week's Grand Finale but she's not one to rest on her laurels. This week, she got back into the throes of her routine life as a Bollywood star. But it was hardly a regular day at the job. The excitement of a shoot for Lux India, one of her many endorsements was quadrupled by the company she was shooting with; her regal family and superstar friend. Accompanying Kareena at the shoot was her mum-in-law, the eternally elegant Sharmila Tagore, sister Karisma Kapoor and buddy and Bollywood contemporary Shah Rukh Khan.
While Shah Rukh did made a dapper addition to the group, we can't take our eyes off the magnificent gang of girls. Sharmila wore a beautiful gold saree with a modest blouse and embroidered drape. It was paired with gold jewellery and her grey bun in a sophisticated updo.
Karisma and Kareena Kapoor went down the western route with gold toned gowns that were high on glitter. Kareena wore a champagne gown with a cutout midriff and slit by Falguni Shane Peacock. It was complemented by straight hair parted down the middle and a warm toned makeup look. Elder sister Karisma wore a strapless gold gown, a custom Swapnil Shinde creation with a gold necklace, dark eye makeup and messy bun. Providing the ideal contrast of colour was Shah Rukh in a jet black suit with satin lapels. The shoot was styled by Bollywood celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri.
The classic Golden Girls series may have ended back in the 90s but these lovely ladies accompanied by the suave Shah Rukh Khan are certainly bringing back its charm with their sparkling gold looks.
