1. Lunge With Spinal Twist

Lunge with a spinal twist is a very effective, flexible exercise that's beneficial for your whole body. To do this exercise, start by standing with your feet together and take a big step forward with your left foot so that you are in a staggered stance. Bend your left knee and drop into a lunge, keeping your right leg straight behind you with your toes on the ground so you feel a stretch at the front of your right thigh. Place your right hand on the floor and twist your upper body to the left as you extend your left arm towards the ceiling. Hold for some time and then relax.

2. Forward Fold

Yet another exercise to improve flexibility is the forward fold. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent, with arms by your sides. Exhale and bend forward from the hips as you bring your hair towards the floor. Keep your knees straight to protect your back. Hold onto this position for 30 seconds and then relax.

3. Toes-On-Wall Calf Stretch

Regularly performing this stretch can increase flexibility, allowing a better range of motion in the ankle and overall lower body flexibility. Stand with a wall in front of you with one foot close to the wall and another one at the back. Place your palms on the wall for support. Next, bring your front foot on the floor with your toes up against the wall and put your weight on it. Hold on to this for some time and relax.

4. Triceps Stretch

It is one of the most popular upper-body stretches. Start with either sitting on your knees or standing tall with feet hip-width apart and arms extended overhead. Bend your right elbow and reach your right hand to touch the top-middle of your back. Next, reach your left hand overhead and grasp just below your right elbow. Hold onto this position for some time and then relax.

5. Standing Quad Stretch

This is yet another classic stretch that targets your quad muscles in the bent leg. Stand with your feet together and bend the left knee and use your left hand to pull your left foot toward your butt. Squeeze your glutes to increase the stretch in the front of your legs. Hold for at least 30 seconds, repeat with another leg, and relax.
