The Cannes Film Festival started a week ago and ever since then, we've been holding our breath for the sartorial heavyweights that never fail to make a splash on the red carpet. India's favourite fashionista, now Mrs. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is one of them. Fresh off the boat from her glitzy wedding, the newly wedded Sonam landed in Cannes and made her appearance looking fabulous as ever.
After an abundance of polka dots on her arrival, Sonam's first official Cannes 2018 outfit was a shimmering white lehenga from Ralph & Russo with a single draped sleeve detail. It was much like an extension of her wedding wardrobe and Sonam wore the ensemble with elan.

Taking the classically desi look a step higher was an incredible beauty look. Sonam opted for a gold eye with heavily kohl-ed lower eye lines along with a radiant face, tinted cheeks and pink lips. Her hair was the star of the show with it being tied in a long braid and accessorized with a paranda styled hair accessory.

A fantastic look that was traditionally Indian at its core.
For her second outfit, Sonam wore a teal and red printed Delpozo midi dress with sheer sleeves. Her accessories were all red with a Jimmy Choo purse and Charlotte Olympia sandals.
Sonam's second makeup look was a complete turnaround from her first traditional one to match her playful printed midi. She wore a fiery vermilion lip with glittering bronze eye makeup and defined brows. Let's not forget the mehendi peeking out on her feet. Finishing it off was her hair worn loose with curls at the end.
If there's anything that Sonam's first day at Cannes proved, it's that she certainly doesn't disappoint, whether it's in the fashion or beauty department. A real stylista, through and through.
