Much has been said about Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut's many looks for the Cannes Film Festival. From Deepika's white tee-blue denims to her Zuhair Murad dress, and from Kangana's Sabyasachi saree to her Murad dress, the actresses are under the social media microscope. But there is another Indian actress at Cannes and she is creating a fine buzz with her choice of outfit for the red carpet. Huma Qureshi is also at the French Riviera, walking the red carpet for the liquor brand Grey Goose, and doing so in a very out-of-the-crowd way, what with her attire last night. Take a look.
In a sea of gowns and trains that cover the entire red carpet, it was interesting to see Huma in a Nikhil Thampi creation that stood out. Lined with platinum metal chips, Huma's bespoke suit was radical as much as it was mod. The jacket and the flared pants made a fantastic case for come non-sequined shine on the red carpet. But was it very red-carpet-y? Interestingly the actress also noted how she stood out, with the caption:
"Yes! I am that girl who is not scared to stand apart. Take that risk. Choose the other path. I don't need some pretty dress or a tiara to feel like a princess. I do my own thing coz I am my own superhero."
Huma's style has always been, simply put, diverse. Her Instagram makes it clear that she like sto mix things up when it comes to what she wears. From a Varun Bahl couture gown to a Paula Ke attire that boasted of metallic peplum addition, Huma Qureshi has been constantly trying different things at Cannes. Gotta give the lady credit for mixing it up.
Check out the Two Point Two studio ensemble she wore when she was on her way to Cannes. Agender dressing has been a part of runway shows for quite a while now but to see it worn by Huma like a boss was something else.

Well, Huma becomes the first Indian actress to pull a shiny metal decorated pantsuit on the red carpet. Nikhil Thampi must be jumping with joy. Here's to that.
