Cannes 2018: Sonam Kapoor, Bella Hadid And 5 Other Celebs Rocking Red Lips

For an event as esteemed as the Cannes Film Festival, there's no doubt that one has to bring their A-game. And that doesn't just mean couture ensemble and designer heels, it includes a stellar makeup look too. Many stars including Kangana Ranaut and Lea Seydoux blew us away with their makeup which is when we noticed a trend taking the red carpet by storm - the red lip. It's a no-brainer, really. It's the pinnacle of a sophisticated beauty look and can be carried off by anybody easily. These seven lovely ladies sported a fiery pair of red lips at Cannes, making it the hottest makeup trend at the event.

To start off our list is Sonam Kapoor and her orange toned red lip she wore with a red and green printed Delpozo midi dress. Fresh and bright; just the kind of punchiness the outfit needed.

Thai superstar Araya Hargate went for a stunning contrast with her flouncy yellow Giambattista Valli gown by pairing it with a striking red pout. Now that's what we call a red carpet winner.

Everyone's favourite bombshell, Bella Hadid attended an event, all decked in red. She matched her lipstick to her red dress and made double the statement that night.

Supermodel Jasmine Tookes went for the time-tested formula of pairing her black lace Zuhair Murad gown with a bright scarlet lip. The shade popped beautifully on her skin tone and the makeup look was done by herself.

After looking like a summer breeze on a sunny day all through her Cannes trip, Mahira Khan took on the red carpet with a bold red lip to go with her black Alberta Ferretti gown for a truly classic pairing.

It's nice to see Cheryl Cole in the limelight, looking like a dream, no less. With an angelic ruffled Zuhair Murad white gown, Cheryl went for a shimmery red lip that's perfect for the season.
