With each passing day, the sartorial choices of the celebrities at the Cannes Film Festival continue to surprise us. There is nothing common or expected about the red-carpet choices made by celebrities this year. While we saw many debutants from Esha Gupta to Sara Ali Khan on Day 1 followed by Mrunal Thakur on Day 2, Day 3 saw a lot of glamour and a neat blend of traditional and modern fashion sensibilities.
Mrunal Thakur made heads turn at the event in a gorgeous ivory custom-made gown by Falguni Shane Peacock. She dazzled on the red carpet wearing the structured cut-out gown, oozing elegance, confidence, and poise. The floor-sweeping gown had embellished floral patterns with a long trail to follow.

Aishwarya Rai has been an attendee at the Cannes Film Festival for over a decade. However this time was special as the actress joined the bandwagon of hooded gowns on the red carpet and picked a silver sequin gown with a shimmering train of the same fabric, a structured hood an oversized black bow at the waist.

Manushi Chhillar's powder blue gown was yet another dreamy look. The gown from Nedret Taciroglu made the actress look exactly like a princess out of a fairytale.

Urvashi Rautela walked the red carpet in a strapless ombre gown with 3D embellishments in beige and teal. What caught our attention, however, was the bold teal lip colour she wore, which matched the shade of her outfit.
Looking dapper in a beige custom-made Anamika Khanna ensemble, Vijay Varma made a case of stunning red carpet fashion. He posed at the French Rivera, leaving his fans swooning over the look. His look was inspired by traditional Indian but with a classy twist.
