She was dressed yet again by designer duo Falguni Shane Peacock in a custom-made gown for her with their signature style in full bloom working its way. Mrunal Thakur looked like a vision in white. Her gown featured a form-fitting silhouette with large ruffles, but it was her daring cutouts on the side that make for a red-carpet entry worthy of a fashion milestone. The white gown also has a long sheer train with Falguni Shane Peacock's signature plush feathers on the hem. The one-shoulder gown is just one of the many reasons Mrunal Thakur proves that even though this may be her first time at Cannes, she's been a pro all along.

In case hooded gowns haven't made the news enough already, Mrunal Thakur shows us her stylish version of this hot red carpet fashion trend. She picks not a gown, but a two-piece set uniquely designed by Anamika Khanna that doesn't just contain her signature embroidered patterns but cutouts and a hood stemming out of the waist of the skirt all the way to the top too. The high-low skirt brings dimension to the silhouette but also in its unusually edgy patterns that some say took a different path for the red carpet one, but we certainly think it was a remarkable one.

The prestigious Cannes red carpet got a desi doze by Mrunal Thakur in a silver saree gown designed by Falguni Shane Peacock. The saree gown features a linear sequinned pattern running through the saree that ditches the front pleats for a cinched waist.
Mrunal Thakur's red carpet journey has been so far, so good and we know she will be written in the books of the best-dressed debutantes ever.
