Cold nights, warm hearts is what they say. But you know what's even better? A delectable glass of something cosy and warm to accompany those cold nights. When winter rolls around, you definitely cannot be sipping on the same ol' margaritas and mojitos. No siree, save those for beach vacations because you need something that's warming and delicious for those barbeque parties, date nights and movie marathons you've got planned. We spoke to Angad Singh Gandhi, a Glenfiddich India brand ambassador who kindly shared with us 4 of his divine winter cocktail recipes for you to whip up on chilly nights along with fitting drinkware for each. Ingredients:

50ml Glenfiddich 12-year-old

20ml Sweet Vermouth

2 -3 dashes Angostura Bitters or Orange Bitters

Maraschino cherry or lemon twist

Preparation:

Add ingredients to a mixing glass and stir over ice. Strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with Maraschino cherry or lemon twist.

Drinkware: Cocktail glass or Martini glass

  • Drop It Like It's Hot

Ingredients:

50ml Glenfiddich 12-year-old

7ml Corn husk syrup or Honey Cinnamon Syrup

2 -3 Dashes Angostura Bitters or Chocolate Bitters

Cacao

Preparation:

Make a corn husk syrup by heating the husk in warm water with some honey and add bit cacao just for aroma. Cook for 15- 20 mins. Make honey cinnamon syrup by heating 1:1 ratio honey and water on low simmer with added cinnamon sticks for 5 mins. Stir ingredients over ice and serve with a big block of ice in a rock glass. Garnish with an orange peel.

Drinkware: Rock glass or Old Fashioned glass

  • Fiddich Fashioned

Ingredients:

60ml Glenfiddich

15ml Honey cinnamon syrup

Angostura bitters

Orange peel

Preparation:

Boil equal parts of honey and water and add 2-3 cinnamon sticks in it on low simmer so to allow the flavour of cinnamon to get infused in the liquid. Pour the whisky over ice in mixing glass, add the honey cinnamon syrup and 3 dashes of Angostura bitters. Stir well and strain in a rock glass over ice. Garnish with orange peel or cinnamon stick.

  • Glenfiddich Boulevadier

Ingredients:

45 ml Cacao butter washed 15 year old Glenfiddich

30 ml Coffee-infused Sweet Vermouth

30ml Campari

Preparation: Add all ingredients over ice in a mixing jar and stir well. Pour in a Glass over a block of ice. Garnish with dark chocolate and enjoy!
