This year, Daughter's Day September 22 was extra special for new mom Richa Chadha who welcomed her first child, a baby girl with husband Ali Fazal on July 16. To celebrate the occasion, the actress shared unseen pictures from her maternity photoshoot on Instagram to wish her little doll Happy Daughter's Day. The snaps showcase Richa embracing motherhood and flaunting her baby bump. Symbolic geometry designs bearing deeper connotations were illustrated on her tummy and midriff. Referring to a quote by poet-activist Maya Angelou, Richa wrote in the caption, “Maya Angelou said ‘My mother shed her protective love down around me and without knowing why, people sensed I had the value'. You will always have value, lil girl.”
Sharing details about the body art, Richa Chadha added, “These photos were taken in month 9 of my pregnancy. The sacred geometry symbols on my body have been painted by Avantika Mathur. The flower of life on my navel, and the symbol of the divine feminine on my chest. Little did I know at the time that I would have a daughter. Woman. Sacred vessel of the universe, clones herself to make another in her image.”
Previously, Richa Chadha inspired first-time mothers to get on the fitness track post giving birth. She dropped a photo on social media hinting at making a return to the gym just after 45 days of giving birth. Her side note read, “Back at the gym 45 days after giving birth.”
Back in August Richa Chadha treated her Insta-fam to another set of clicks from her monochromatic maternity photoshoot on a “stormy day”. Ali Fazal made an appearance in the second frame too. “Women - the sacred vessel of this divine cosmos. So much can change in a month,” read a part of her caption.
