With the year coming to an end, the award ceremonies begin and leave us feeling a major case of FOMO. Anyway, after Filmfare style and beauty awards, we've been wondering what the stars are going to wear for the Lux Golden Rose Awards. Celebrities like Katrina Kaif and Madhuri Dixit sizzled on the red carpet. We have mixed feelings towards what our beloved, Deepika Padukone, wore. Although Deepika won the 'Unstoppable Beauty of the Year' award, we're in two minds about what she wore for the awards. We're kind of in a love-hate relationship with this gold Monisha Jaising gown at the moment. There is no doubt that she looked as stunning as ever. The silhouette of the gown, though, was just too similar to a lot of things we've seen her wear before.

The actress has been stunning us with her Indian outfits for Padmavati promotions, but she definitely needs to up her 'gown game' a little bit. This gold lame reminds us of two looks we've seen on her already - she wore a metallic Ralph & Russo gown with a similar shape as this dress to the Lux Golden Rose Awards last year; she also wore a gold sequined Naeem Khan gown to the premiere of xXx 3 in Mumbai at the beginning of this year.

This time, she sparkles in cutaway sleeves and emerald and diamond earrings - but is it time for Deepika Padukone to push the fashion envelope? Lovely as she looks, we think so. Also, we would love to see her with her hair down once in a while.

There is no doubt that she took sexy to a whole new level with a plunging neckline and a thigh high slit - but, there's just something that's not quite right, maybe it's those statement sleeves, or maybe not.

We love you Deepika, but we'd love to see you switch it up a bit.
