Deepika Padukone has been kind of missing in action after she attended the Time 100 Gala in New York on the 24th of April. Other than the occasional sighting in NYC by fans and a few scattered pictures here and there on social media, no one really knows what Deepika Padukone has been upto. Deepika, who made an appearance in an Anamika Khanna ensemble for the Time 100 Gala, received much praise for the work that she's done so far and the speech that she gave at the gala. When it came to her look for the gala, though, the response was not quite the same. Much ado was made of Deepika Padukone's look from the gala thrown in honour of this year's most influential people according to the Time 100 list. At the very core of the disappointment of many fans, was Deepika Padukone's hair. Yes, you read that right, her hair.
While fans of Deepika Padukone were expecting something path breaking and trend setting from Deepika as she made an appearance on an international red carpet, they were left disappointed by Deepika's choice of hairstyle. It was the same plastered, middle-parted ponytail that everyone had seen many times before on the dimpled beauty. Fans bombarded Deepika's stylist, Shaleena Nathani's Instagram page with disappointed remarks and some insults too. And what's more is that this wasn't even the first time. Needless to say, Deepika Padukone's overall look from the Time 100 Gala or anytime that she wore her hair in a glued down ponytail, was not loved.

Last night Deepika Padukone was spotted (finally) at Harry Josh Pro Tools 5th anniversary celebration during a Pre-Met Gala Party. Deepika, who is all set to attend the Met Gala on the 7th of May in New York was seen in a pair of blue flared jeans, a black tank top and black overcoat. Her outfit may not have been path breaking, but fans rejoiced as they saw Deepika Padukone's hair finally down. Deepika wore her hair down in loose curls and fans are pleading with Shaleena Nathani to keep it this way even for the Met Gala.
