All you need to do is buy a few essential oils that are known to bring about a soothing effect such as peppermint oil, rosemary oil, lavender oil and tea tree oil. Next, you need to go to your kitchen and get hold of everyday ingredients like sugar, oatmeal, honey, fruits and nuts to use in making foot scrubs. You can also use bath salts that work wonders to remove dead skin and smoothen your skin.
Here are some ideas for easy DIY foot scrubs:
1. Peppermint oil + sugar
The cooling effect of peppermint oil is no secret. It works like a dream to bring about a calming effect and relieve sore muscles when applied topically. Sugar of course is an excellent scrub that has been in use for ages to remove dead skin and make it soft. Take one cup of granulated sugar, and add half a cup of olive oil and four to five drops of peppermint essential oil and mix well. Use it to gently scrub your feet for 15 minutes in circular motion. Wash will lukewarm water.

2. Lavender oil + coconut
Adding a few drops of lavender oil to your scrub will help in bringing about a calming effect because it's known for eliminating nervous tension and muscle pain, and improving blood circulation. Take one cup dessicated coconut, half a cup coconut oil and two to three drops lavender oil, and use as a scrub.
3. Rosemary oil + coffee
The rosemary bush belongs to the mint family, and its essential oil is commonly used in beauty treatments because of its antimicrobial properties and the ability to remove dryness of skin. Take one cup of ground coffee, add half a cup of olive oil and three to four drops of rosemary essential oil. Scrub well for 20 minutes and wash.

4. Eucalyptus oil + brown sugar
Eucalyptus oil is renowned for its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Take one cup brown sugar, half a cup grapeseed oil and two to three drops eucalyptus oil, and use as a scrub.
