This Is How You Can Fix Your Broken Makeup Palettes And Refurbish Them

1. If You Broke Your Eyeshadow Palette

You can save it by turning it into a loose powder eyeshadow, which works just as well as traditional pressed-powder shadows. To turn it into loose powder you'll need to break up the damaged eyeshadow into a fine, loose texture. Empty the broken eyeshadow into a small plastic bag and seal it tight. Then take a spoon and press the back of it directly onto the powder to crush into finer pieces. Then empty the powder into a small container, and you've got your new loose powder eyeshadow.

2. If You Broke Your Favourite Blush

First, dump all of the sad, shattered pieces into a container. Use your spoon to crush up the chunks into fine powder. Add two capfuls of alcohol into the mix. Mix it all together for a paste-like consistency. Scrape all of the liquid pack into the palette, and tap the palette so that it all lands smoothly and no air bubbles form. Then wait for the product to dry. This could take a couple of hours. Once it's dry yet a little damp, take your piece of fabric or paper towel, place it over the product, and very lightly pat it to pick up any excess alcohol. Next, take a flat surface that will cover the entirety of the product and place it on top of the fabric. Press down gently so it all presses down back into the palette.

3. Repurpose The Broken Bits

Besides bringing your products back to life with the fixes above, you can also breathe new life into them by repurposing the broken bits you're left with. A few ideas include mixing broken eyeshadow with a cream shadow to get a whole new colour or finish, adding shimmer from a busted highlighter to a clear lip gloss, and mixing broken face and body bronzer with lotion to get a brand new tinted body moisturiser.
