When you're a girl on the go, there's no time to head back home when you've got post-work plans. Especially if you're heading for a wedding during the bustling shaadi season, there's no time to head back just to do your makeup and change. Instead, conserve your time and energy for the night and prep in your office washroom. Since you can't lug around your whole makeup kit, we got Mausam Gandhi, ace makeup artist, to tell us the tricks to look wedding-ready when going straight from work.

1. Slip Into A Dark Lip

"Keep a deep shade of lipstick handy in your bag and apply it when getting ready for a wedding. A dark lipstick is a simple way to elevate a makeup look completely," recommends Mausam. A deep shade like Lakme Absolute Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick in Maroon Magic will add a great amount of intensity to even the simplest of makeup looks in just one swipe.

2. Go For Glitter

When it's wedding season, there's a no holds barred policy on glitter. So use it to your best advantage by choosing a glitter eye liner and applying it in a winged eyeliner style on your eyelid. While it's the same effort required to draw a regular wing, the sparkle factor gives it a perfect shaadi season upgrade.

3. Get Bronzed Up

Bronzer, like the Natio Pressed Powder Bronzer, is one product that's just what the makeup artist ordered this season. Don't believe us? Here's what Mausam had to say, "Since no one generally wears bronzer to work, carry it with you in your handbag. When getting ready, contour your temples, jawline and cheeks using the powder bronzer. This will add warmth and definition to your face, which will be best suited for a wedding."

4. Up Your Brow Game

Eyebrows may seem like a minute part of your look but well-defined brows change the appearance of the face dramatically. So carry an eyebrow pencil with you like Zuii Organic's Eyebrow Definer, fill in the bare spots, run through with a spoolie and you're good to go.

5. Don't Forget To Dust

Even if you have dry skin, after a long day at work, you're bound to get oily. And since no one wants to look like an oil spill when heading for a wedding reception, carrying a skin toned loose powder like the Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder with you. "Once your base makeup is complete, dust the loose powder with a powder brush over your cheeks and T-zone to soak up any oiliness," advises Mausam.
